Day by day
Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. Enter the park and begin a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River, where hundreds of elephants, buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest congregate, especially during the dry season. The ancient baobab trees create a unique landscape unlike any other park. Look for tree-climbing lions, python, and over 300 bird species including the endemic ashy starling. Camp near the park as the African bush comes alive at night.
