Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Your guide meets you and transfers you to Arusha Coffee Lodge, set among coffee and tea plantations with Mount Meru views. Drive south to Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous baobab trees and one of Africa's highest concentrations of elephants. During dry season, over 3,000 elephants gather along the Tarangire River, creating a pachyderm spectacle unmatched anywhere on the continent. Watch herds of 50 or more crossing the river, mothers guiding calves through the shallows. Stay at Tarangire Treetops — elevated treehouses built around ancient baobab and marula trees.

Morning game drive in Tarangire targeting predators and birdlife — the park hosts over 550 species. After lunch, transfer through the Great Rift Valley to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Fly north to the Lamai Wedge — a triangular section of the Serengeti where the migration funnels between kopjes on its way to and from the Mara River crossings. Afternoon game drive along the river, watching for the massive herds that build up before crossing attempts. The lodge's infinity pool seems to pour into the Serengeti itself.
