Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) is Africa's largest protected area and one of its least visited. This 4-day safari takes you deep into the reserve for boat safaris on the Rufiji River, walking safaris through wild bushland, and game drives across open plains teeming with lions, wild dogs, elephants, and hippo pods. With just a fraction of the Serengeti's visitor numbers, this is raw, uncrowded Africa.

Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere (5 hours overland or 45-min flight). Settle into your luxury tented camp on the banks of the Rufiji River. Afternoon game drive through the northern sector — look for elephants, giraffes, and buffalo.
